Champ bumper paint.

Since I didn't get an answer here I asked in the Studebaker forum. StudeRich said that the bumper color was the same as used on T-4 grilles, gas and hub caps & mirror brackets. I have an NOS T-4 grille so I took it to Finishmaster & had a quart color matched. I asked if they could give me the formula but was told that took too much trouble & I'd have to order a large amount (he said 20 gallons) to get a formula. I hope to paint it tomorrow if it isn't too windy.

As a side note I was also told that California now requires all automotive paint to use a catalyst (hardener) in addition to reducer. I guess there aren't enough causes of cancer around so they have to legislate more ways to get sick. Either that or make up things to substantiate their existence.
